Knipser is a German winery, known for their production of great wine. They age for years and are ideal for storing and collecting. To celebrate the exceptional year of 2012 with collectors from all over the world Knipser wanted a unique packaging for a limited edition Cuvée XR. It was to be bottled in 2015, after three years of ripening. The idea was to make not only the wine a collectors item, but the bottle, too.
A special copper jacket makes the ripening process inside the bottle visible on the outside: the longer the XR ripens, the more the copper jacket ripens and makes Knipser's credo visible – "True Greatness Comes With Age."
