Stelle di Mare frizzante demi-sec I 84 points
Luscious nose of flowers, apple, apricot and a touch of honey. Medium mousse with plenty of fruit. A real ladies’ summer sparkling wine!
Stelle di Mare rosé frizzante demi-sec I 82 points
Lots of raspberry on the nose and slightly oversized bubbles. Restrained mousse, slightly flabby acidity with plenty of strawberry and raspberry on the palate.
Tudor Rosé Pinot Noir 2016 I 83-84 points
Raspberry and strawberry on the nose. Light and smooth with plenty of fruit, a little residual sugar and a touch of added pétillance. Acidity dominates on the finish.
Tudor Chardonnay 2014 I 83-85 points
Buttery on the nose with vanilla, a little popcorn and some peach. Smooth on the palate with good acidity but with barrel spices dominating the flavours.
Tudor Negru de Dragasani & Pinot Noir 2014 I 84-86 points
Very fruity, a little sweet, rather tutti frutti nose with plenty of cherry! Smooth acidity, with lots of fruit on the palate too as well as a medium finish. Very drinkable!
Tudor Cabernet Sauvignon & Negru de Dragasani 2014 I 85 points
Exciting nose with lots of fruit and black pepper. Medium to full-bodied with focussed tannins and plenty of fruit and spice on the palate.
Tudor Negru de Dragasani & Merlot 2014 I 86 points
A complex nose with plenty of red berry fruit and barrel spice. Medium to full-bodied with smooth acidity and silky tannins. Lots of fruit on the palate with a slightly spicy undertone. The spiciness increases on the finish.
A small yet important thing to note is that that the Tudor wine range is a tribute to Romanian revolutionary hero Tudor Vladimirescu.
