The Swiss wine merchant and winery’s product range caught my attention immediately, especially the dark bottle series. The series is all the more interesting as it includes 28 different wines – from Chablais to Nero d’Avola

Obrist is a Swiss wine merchant since 1854, who grew into a winemaker in one of the most renowned winegrowing regions of Switzerland. Nowadays Obrist is a key player as a trader and as a producer in the country. Considering themselves as real craftsmen, they are committed to respecting the terroirs and traditions, defining wine as a result of an intimate relationship between men and nature.

Each wine has a unique label, the laurel wreath holding the winners in its protective embrace, and yet fit in well with the uniform concept. The main visual motives communicate the wine’s character to us and the use of the small labels is at once classic and elegant.

The original concept has undergone further development since the upper quarter and the neck have also gained additional colour coding, which originate from the basic colour of the main motif.

The appearance of the bottles has also been further elaborated, in that the grape motif and the company name feature on the lower part. This has proved to be a good decision, because the olive green bottle used for the white wines can be mistaken at a distance for olive oil packaging.
