Grapes from Tokaj Hill only feature a little in the emblematic part of the Tokaj wine region, which is spread across three settlements: Tokaj, Tarcal and Bodrogkeresztúr. The wines produced on Tokaj Hill differ from those from elsewhere in the wine region thanks to the thick layer of loess, which is only found here only in such large quantities within the wine region.
