Cremela Recas winery near Timisoara, owned by the British-born Philip Cox is investing heavily in its 925ha of vineyards, all of which have been replanted since 1999, determined to revive the image of Romanian wine. Following a huge growth in sales, they are investing €2 million to upgrade their bottling facility to meet this demand. Their Pinot Grigio is currently the best-selling Pinot Grigio in the UK.
