Borpalota (Wine Palace), the emblematic building of Gyöngyös, was inaugurated in 1906 and ever since then, it has been functioning as a winery. Dubicz Winery celebrated the anniversary of the 110-year old building. An exhibition organized inside the cellar walls displayed the turbulent history and economy of the past centuries. Wine and art have never been far apart; the guests could also experience this during a game. Rudolf Bér (Rudino) painter, who was awarded the Barcsay Award, presented a chamber exhibition in the wine-tasting room of the winery where the guests were able to taste a variety of different Dubicz wines and match them with the paintings. Good quality grapes are needed for making good wine, and after a walk in the cellar, the guests could take a pleasant picnic walk along the slopes of the Mátra. The music of Jónás Vera Experiment, winner of the Artisjus Award, filled the rooms of the 110-year-old building during the early summer evening.
